Thank you for your interest in Eduardo.  (Eddy for short)  Eddy is a one of a kind horse.
He has such a sweet personality, but yet is very guarded.  He is really shy, but loves
attention.  He came to me very scared and we have worked very hard to get him over his
Amazingly enough he was great at the horse shows I took him to.  Spooky at first and then
took it all in stride!  I was so proud of him!  It is very hard to describe his personality
because he is so unique. I think the best way if you are interested in him is to come and
meet him.   He likes women better than men as his handlers have always been women.
But my husband has set out to make Eddy his friend and now is able to handle him without
Eddy being afraid.  Don't get me wrong he has never been abused, he was just a pasture
ornament and was left pretty much to himself except for the lady who owned him.  She
would go out and halter him and give him treats and that was about it.  So he is a bit
suspicious of men and strangers.

I have not seen any lameness issues with him as long as he has been here.  He has been
with us for almost a year.   He steps very high and has a lot of swing to the outside with his
front feet.  His gait is very correct, and the judges at the shows I took him to loved him.

He is very laid back to handle, never need a stud chain with him.  He is quiet as a mouse in
his stall, and in his paddock even when another stallion is turned out next to him.  He is so
neat and clean in his stall, I wish all my horses were like him!!!  He is good for baths, and I
have clipped him with scissors (bad I know).  He doesn't mind spray bottles and I can
even wash his head with the spray nozzle on the hose.  He has never had shoes on, only
been trimmed.  He is good for the farrier as long as the farrier is quiet and polite with him.

As quiet as he is to handle on the ground, I think he will have a lot of brio when ridden.
He has a very upright presentation of himself and is always swishing his mane all around
when he is turned out.  It falls below his shoulders and his tail drags the ground.  He is very
sensitive and so it is my feeling that he will only need the lightest of leg pressures and light
hands.  He is very responsive to his handler and tries his hardest to please.

As you can probably tell, I love Eddy very much, but I have too many horses and when
these two were left here at my barn it has strained my resources too much.  I don't have
any idea about his bloodlines but I know his sire/dam were in Hawaii and there can't be
very many Peruvian Paso Ranches in Hawaii.  The previous owner said his sire looked
very similar to him.  There can't be very many Buckskin stallions in Hawaii either.  So
maybe a few phone calls would shed some light on that subject.  He has never been bred,
so he would make a fantastic gelding.  I am not advertising him as a breeding stallion.
